Deposit & Cancellation Guidelines
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. The following are our deposit & cancellation guidelines.
First Time Guests: If you are staying with us for the first time, please read a brief message about High Life and North Cyprus hotels in general at the bottom of this page to understand our unique offering, setup and service.
Deposit Amount: For direct booking guests, equal to the cost of first 4 nights or full amount of your stay if shorter than 4 nights. For bookings via other channels, 50% of total.
How to Pay: You can pay us by credit card or by transferring to our bank accounts in the UK, US and Turkey. If you have booked us via a travel site and provided credit card info, but prefer to pay by bank transfer, please get in touch for further information.
Note: There is a small fee for credit card transactions. This fee can be avoided by bank transfers to our accounts in the UK, US and Turkey if your account is in one of those countries too.
Deposit Due Dates: For direct booking guests, deposit due within 1 week of booking creation. For those booking via travel sites, guests are charged a prepayment anytime following a 4-hour grace period after reservation.
Deposit Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable, however, if cancelling due to illness or unusual circumstances such as a pandemic, you can have a credit for your deposit amount which can be spread over two future stays.
Deposit Transferability: Deposits are non-transferable – in other words, if multiple rooms were booked, deposits paid for the rooms cannot be used towards one room only or for someone else’s booking.
No Shows: If you do not check in and have not informed us about your plans, that constitutes a complete loss of deposit with no credit for future use.
Change of Plans During a Stay: Cost of your stay is due during check in. If you shorten your stay after checking in, the total for your original stay is still due. We understand things may go wrong and will of course consider the circumstances that may lead to the change in plans to see if credit for a future stay or refund is possible.
About High Life & North Cyprus Hotels
In North Cyprus, there are generally two types of hotels. Large hotels that cater to casino tourism and small family run hotels, both categories with varying levels of luxury. High Life is a three-and-a-half-star family-run hotel with an excellent location on the sea and personal service that strives to exceed five-star hotels in terms of the attention to our guests. Our rooms are more spacious than most hotels and very comfortable. We don’t claim to have luxurious rooms, but they are being constantly updated in small increments with the rest of the property. We choose not to offer buffets because our guests prefer to watch the sea while being served. As an adult only hotel, a quiet and relaxing environment is our goal therefore we do not plan excessively noisy entertainment with loud music.
